What a gorgeous post. I was, many years ago, a beekeeper. though I always shied from the description, because they were clearly living the hives life, at the bequest of the queen, whom I served.
The seed pods are gorgeous! Thank you for this post.
My husband ‘looks after’ bees. Mainly meaning we have hives in our garden, and try to keep the pests away. Not easy at the moment as asian hornets hunt at the hives nonstop. We’re not taking honey this year, they’re under too much stress as it is.
I like the different colors and textures in your photos. Beautiful!

I live the dried flowers and seed pods. Any idea what the one in your first image is called? I picked some on the side of the road and I love them.

You might know them as teasels. They are beautiful, and goldfinches love their seeds. People once used them to comb wool fibres.

I like the integration of man-made things, sculptures like, with natural beauty, V. Lovely!

Your poem caused melancholy. Perhaps because of the last stanza. I love it.
